Director - Beverly Folts
Ms. Beverly spent her younger years working in accounting, and then moved into family law as a legal assistant. She has been the Christian Education Coordinator at Saint Paul Presbyterian Church since 2004, working with infants through young adults. Most recently in 2018 the Session of Saint Paul Presbyterian Church asked her to join Saint Paul Early Childhood Ministries as the Preschool Director. She holds her Directors License, and feels that she has found her true calling working with children. We are so thankful to have her here at Saint Paul ECM.
Administrator of Admissions and Staff - Elaine Clinard
Ms. Elaine has been in the Early Childhood profession for over 26 years, attended Bradford School of Business and is CDA Certified. She has worked as an in-home nanny, preschool teacher (all ages) and childcare coordinator. She is married and has two grown boys, enjoys spending time with her family and listening to music. Singing with the children, being silly, watching the children grow and learn as they interact with each other and their teachers are her favorite things about the preschool setting. Ms. Elaine believes smiles and laughter from the little ones are the best things ever - a true blessing! She is a fantastic addition to Saint Paul ECM and brings joy to everyone around her.
Zebras Class Teacher - Ms. SaQoya
Ms. SaQoya has over four years of experience working with children from 6 weeks to 18 years old. She holds a Bachelors degree in Sports Wellness and Recreation Management. She worked as an International Sports Coach in Beijing, China teaching the fundamentals of 10 sports in a fun team based environment. Her favorite part about working with children is helping them develop fine and gross motor skills. She enjoys playing and being active with children. In her free time she loves to watch sporting events and read.
Zebras Class Assistant Teacher - Ms. Tammy
Ms.Tammy has over 20 years of childcare experience, primarily working with children under 2 years old. She has completed her Infant Toddler CDA courses and is working on getting her certification. Ms. Tammy loves watching children grow, learn, and develop their own individual personalities. She also enjoys working closely with parents. One of her favorite things is being an aunt to two (soon to be three) wonderful children. In addition to working with children, Tammy enjoys creating and selling her polymer clay art, gaming, and has been figure skating since she was 18.
Giraffes Class Teacher - Ms. Angie
Ms. Angie has over 4 years of experience working with children in a childcare setting. She really enjoys working with the younger children, and watching them grow and meet their milestones. Her favorite thing about teaching is providing the children in her care with opportunities to express their creativity. Ms. Angie has completed her Infant Toddler CDA courses and is working on getting her certification. She has 4 wonderful children of her own, and enjoys spending quality time with her family.
Giraffes Class Assistant Teacher - Ms. Ruby
Ms. Ruby has over 5 years of experience working with young children. Her favorite part of her job is being able to provide children with a safe space to explore, learn and grow. The thing she loves doing most with the children in her class is reading with them during story time, and sharing her love of literacy with them. In her free time Ms. Ruby enjoys spending time with her family and reading.
Toucans Class Teacher - Ms. Yessica
Ms. Yessica has over 5 years of experience working with children. She is currently taking her CDA courses and working on getting her certification. She loves spending time playing with the children in the blocks center, and doing arts and crafts. Her favorite part of her job is being able to watch the children learn and grow. She has 3 wonderful children of her own, and enjoys spending time with her family and doing outdoor activities like camping and playing soccer.
Toucans Class Assistant Teacher - Ms. Tracy
Ms. Tracy has 5 years experience working with children, most of which she spent as a behavioral therapist for children with special needs. She is working towards her Psychology degree, with focuses on developmental psychology and autism spectrum disorder. She is also working on completing her CDA courses. Ms. Tracy loves meeting each child on their level and adapting the learning process to them. She puts a strong emphasis on both social-emotional and academic learning. Her favorite part of teaching is watching children’s exponential growth, and seeing the joy on their faces as they learn. Aside from teaching, Ms. Tracy loves spending time with her infant daughter and family, having game nights with friends, reading, and writing.
Pandas Class Teacher & Education Coordinator - Ms. Karlie
Ms. Karlie has been working in childcare with all ages for 12 years, and has taught Sunday School at church for many years. Karlie is CDA Certified and holds a director's license. Although she doesn't have any children of her own, she claims the kids of the school as her babies. The things Ms. Karlie loves most about working with children are watching them grow, learn, and being the light of Jesus in their lives. Her hobbies include playing piano, crafting, reading, and spending time with family. Ms. Karlie is a shining light at Saint Paul ECM.
Leap Frogs Class (Pre-K) Teacher & Technology Specialist - Ms. Rachel
Ms. Rachel is our Pre-K Teacher and Technology Specialist, and has over 8 years of experience in the classroom. She attended our Mother's Day Out program as a child, and worked for ECM teaching Mini-Gym, the 3 year olds, and as the Pre-K assistant teacher for 2 years while working on her Associates Degree at Houston Community College. She left ECM to attend Sam Houston State University where she recieved her Bachelors of Science in Education, and earned her certification to teach Early Childhood through 6th Grade in Texas. She also has her English as a Second Language certification, and spent 5 years working with ESL students in Alief ISD before returning to us here at ECM. During her time in Alief ISD, Ms. Rachel developed a passion for helping young children grow and develop the foundational skills needed to be successful in upper elementary school and beyond. She loves inspiring creativity in the children she works with. We are so glad to have her with us.
Music Teacher & Substitute - Mr. Rob
Mr. Rob is a teacher with us at Saint Paul ECM, and is always ready to help in any capacity that is needed. Mr. Rob has 9 years of teaching experience, from infants to 12 years old. He attended the Art Institute of Houston and graduated with a degree in Applied Science of Culinary Arts. He is currently studying to receive his Bachelors in Elementary Education. His favorite part about working with kids is being able to help build their minds, and watching their personalities grow and flourish.
STEM Teacher & Substitute - Mr. Billy
Mr. Billy is the Clerk of Session for Saint Paul Presbyterian Church, and is a member of the Saint Paul ECM Board of Directors. He has a Bachelors of Science in Geology from University of Houston, and has 12 years of experience working for Western Geophysical. He has taught Sunday School for the church for many years, and is a member of the Christian Education committee. He is a life-long scout, and has been the BSA Scoutmaster for Troop #549 for over 40 years. He loves working with children and watching them have fun while they're learning. We are blessed to have him as part of our ECM team.
Summer Assistant - Ms. Alessandra
Ms. Alessandra has several years of experience working with children. She has been a babysitter and a nanny for many different families, and has been volunteering for summer programs for deaf children in elementary school since 2014. She is working towards her Bachelor or Science in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education, and will be starting her senior year at Stephen F. Austin University in the fall. Her favorite part of working with children is being able to make them laugh and smile, and doing arts and crafts with them. In her free time, Ms. Alessandra enjoys listening to music, socializing with her family and friends, horseback riding, traveling, and making bracelets. She is also an advocate for deaf rights for both herself and for others in the deaf community.
Saint Paul ECM Custodian - Ms. Margarita
Ms. Margarita has been working for Saint Paul ECM for 25 years. She loves her job and loves being able to watch the children grow. She has 5 children and 10 grandchildren of her own. Her youngest daughter attended Saint Paul ECM when she was a child. Ms. Margarita loves to take naps in her free time.
